Financial Aid

Millions of dollars in financial aid and scholarships are available to college students every year. But many families automatically dismiss such options, assuming they will not qualify for assistance. In reality, though, many families qualify for some level of financial assistance, and there are more scholarship, grant and loan programs than you probably realize.

It's a good idea to start researching financial aid, scholarship, grant and loan options a few years before your child enters college. Your student's high school guidance counselor can provide assistance. Also, consider searching the Internet, with stops at such sites as www.collegeboard.org, www.finaid.org, and www.fafsa.ed.gov.
