BB&T Asset Management

BB&T Asset Management, Inc. is a registered investment advisor and subsidiary of BB&T Corporation, the nation’s 14th-largest financial holding company. With a history dating back to the late 19th century, BB&T Corporation today has $136.4 billion in assets under management (as of March 31, 2008).

BB&T Corporation entered the trust business in 1907 and five years later launched the predecessor to BB&T Asset Management, responsible for managing investments for institutions, corporations and individuals.

Our longevity is a testament to our organization’s solid foundation. With a heritage built on financial strength, organizational stability, state-of-the-art resources and distinguished investment talent, BB&T Asset Management has helped thousands of investors build, manage and preserve their wealth.

We employ more than 60 investment professionals averaging at least 16 years of investment experience. The tenure and credentials of our investment team members exemplify the dedication we bring to the investment process and every client relationship.

Since 1992, individual investors have put our investment insight and expertise to work through the BB&T Funds, a full-service mutual fund family.
